I am off to Algonquin Park this weekend, with my husband and oldest sister, to Ralph Bice Lake – named after an ancestor of ours. He was one of the first conservationists of the park. We will have bear spray in hand as well as a blow horn like the kind used at hockey games. We will spin yarns around the fire and see who else shows up. LIONS & TIGERS & BEARS & MOOSE & RAIN & WIND & COLD……We were nice and dry at the cottage; thinking of you especially on Monday morning! Have to admit, the sunset Sunday night was spectacular! There is nothing ANYWHERE like a Muskoka sunset!
We saw the same sunset! Sunday night. It was heavenly. We did smell bear, did not see one. And definitely moose were living around us but so were the loons. Never seen so many. One of my pet-peeves is procrastination. In fact, when my husband introduces me to someone he says: ‘I’m the opposite to a procrastinator. If you think it should be done today, Lee has it done several days ago’. And my reasoning is this: if you can accomplish something before it’s due, it leaves time to take care of things that ‘pop up’, thereby relieving undue stress. Good luck with your website! My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being stolen? I’d really appreciate it.
Hi Lucas: No problems as far as I’m aware of. But if I write original content like a poem I put c2012 for copyright. But anyone can copy off of any website pretty well. WE all just hope people are honest or if they do use your information, they provide a link back to your website noting you are the originator of the material. I’ve had people ask me if it’s okay to post some of my stuff on their website and I’ve said yes as long as I get the referral back to my website. Google picks up on keywords and if it’s not original content the site is downgraded or even blacklisted. Good luck!

I have not had any hackers on my website and hopefully never will. I write my blog to share information and if someone takes the information, so be it. As long as it’s passed along in a positive manner, I’m okay with that. 🙂 I do change my passwords frequently.
