We were thrilled to return to Indigo Eaton Centre on March 17th with the Paige Maddison Series.
Thank you to our host, Kari, for greeting us and setting us up at the top of the escalator. It was good to be back again. It was a bustling place. We assumed most people would be on vacation, but there were so many readers buzzing around the store.
It was awesome! I loved every second of this energized book signing from the hospitable staff, Kari, Jennifer, Karen, and so many more (thank you for making my husband and I feel so welcomed) to your awesome book lovers! Many stopped by to look at our series: a sea cadet from Ottawa who loves the supernatural genre, especially ghosts, to a university student that was interested in Paige Maddison’s spiritual awakening, to a young book lover who wanted to read about Paige’s personality and her fight against evil / bullying, and many more. I talked a lot throughout our late afternoon on St. Patrick’s Day.
We know not everyone loves ghosts, or supernatural books, but so many readers stopped by to congratulate me and my son (in absentia working) for having written 3 novels in the Paige Maddison Series.
I cannot recount how many people shook my hand over this. As a special thank you, we gave out Paige’s Guardian Angel charm (hand-crafted by our friends at Muskoka Pewter) that is mentioned in Destiny’s Gate to the book lovers who bought copies of our series.
We loved each and every conversation and it was indeed my honour to meet all of you. Thank you for stopping by. Special thanks to the book lovers who picked up copies of our series. We’ve been asked to return again to Indigo Eaton Centre and we shall look forward to it. As a sidebar, J.R. Matheson spent hours and hours browsing books in this Indigo bookstore as a young child right through until the end of highschool. We, as parents, allowed him to explore the store on his own. We had a planned meet-up after an hour. However, as a mom, I never really let him out of my sight unbeknownst to J.R. It gave him confidence and independence to explore his interests. Now J.R.’s a PhD student at the University of Toronto. 🙂 Thank you again to Indigo Eaton Centre for hosting us. Special thanks to Kari for setting us up, and Karen for the social media.
A special Happy Birthday shoutout to our dear friends, Ruth and JR Colombo, for their birthdays. Have the happiest one(s) yet. They are our friends, my mentors, and supporters of the Paige Maddison Series.
