I performed my first ‘reading’ from my book Wake Me Up Inside at the Library, newly built 47,000 square foot facility. A librarian’s dream for sure! Thank you to all of you who came out on the last day of summer to hear the author speak. 🙂 It was a slow start but ended up with a bang! I loved the young man’s comments – he thanked me for coming out to speak and said I inspired him. I met children of all ages and even the young lady who was first to check out my book from the library. What a wonderful place to perform. Thank you to Melissa and the staff of the OPL for having me. For those of you living in Orillia and area, I will be at the Orillia Public Library on the last day of summer, Friday, September 21st from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. I will be performing a reading from my newly released novel, Wake Me Up Inside. It is a page turner, pardon the pun, and readers having been emailing me ‘they love it’. Paige Maddison, the teen heroine, fights off evil on the O’Brien Estate. Come on out and join us for a fun filled time! 🙂 Thank you for this opportunity, Orillia Public Library. I will be signing books towards the end. When I awoke this morning, the first thing I thought of was today’s date. And I don’t believe there’s one person that does not think of what happened on this day, eleven years ago. My heart goes out to all of the survivors, their families, and especially to those families who lost someone in this tragedy. The rest of us cannot say ‘we understand your loss’ because it was so tragic and senseless. May we always remember so we, as a collective consciousness, do NOT let this ever happen again! Healing and love to you all. 🙂

Great news! This just in… Wake Me Up Inside has been chosen as part of Battle of the Books, for tweens, in the Orillia and area schools. It’s a very competitive program with teams and a Spring trivia contest testing the knowledge of the books the students have read. What an honour! Thank you Melissa, and the Orillia Public Library for choosing my book for the Canadian category. 🙂
